感謝を伝える

ラーメン好きで知らない人はいない一風堂の河原社長がその著書
『五輪書（到知出版社）』でこんなことを言っています。

『自分の命をつくりだしてくれた両親。その両親に心から感謝し、
思いを伝えることは、自分自身を肯定的にとらえることに他なりま
せん。

まして、飲食業に携わる者ならば、自分にとって最も大切な人であ
る両親に「ありがとう」が言えなくて、どうしてお客様に本当のあ
りがとうを伝えることができるでしょうか。

照れくさいなどと言っている場合ではありません。まずは時間をつ
くって、両親に心の底からのありがとうを伝えてみてください。』

これを読んで、私はすぐに両親へ感謝の言葉を伝えました。今はも
う母はこの世にいませんが、思い立ったらすぐやる。本当に大事で
すね。
