制約条件

「経営とは制約条件との戦いだ」と何かの本で読んだことがあります。

実は、制約条件がある時とない時では、意思決定のアプローチは異なります。

たとえば、どのプロジェクトに投資するかという判断を求められたとき、

常にNPVが大きいプロジェクトを選択すればいいというわけではありません。

たとえば、予算上、投資金額の上限が決められている場合には、制約条件に

なっている投資金額当りのNPVが最大になるプロジェクトを選択する必要が

あるのです。つまり、制約条件がある場合は、制約資源の投入量当りNPVが

最大になるプロジェクトを選択しなくてはいけないということです。

そのうち、CO2当りのNPVが最大になる製品を優先的に投入していく

なんてことになるんだと思います。
