東芝の財務戦略

東芝は、現在「CCC」と呼ぶ経営指標の目標を掲げています。CCCはキャッシ
ュ・コンバージョン・サイクルの略。売掛金と在庫の回転日数から、買掛金の
回転日数を引いて求めます。

このCCCを短縮するということは、運転資金が減るということです。運転資金
を賄う有利子負債は圧縮でき、在庫削減による生産現場の効率化で労務費など
も削減できる。言ってみれば、「資金繰り、貸借対照表、収益改善」と三方良
しと旗振り役の副社長はコメントしています。

成果は着実に上がっていて、2008年3月期に34日であったCCCは前期には27.8日
へ短縮。1年前よりもFCFは約5500億円も改善。有利子負債も約5900億円圧縮し
たといいます。

このような取り組みは、トップマネジメントのコミットメントが必要です。な
ぜなら、企業には、売掛金、在庫、買掛金を俯瞰してみている部署がないから
です。

日産自動車でも同様の取り組みが行われてきましたがCFOの協力なリーダーシ
ップの下、クロスファンクショナルチーム（社内横断的なプロジェクトチー
ム）が結成されていました。

さすがに東芝は、副社長が旗振り役となって社内横断のイノベーション活動と
位置づけ、改善を継続する工夫をしているようですね。
