顧客と消費者

私たちは、顧客と消費者を同じ意味で使っていたります。

しかし、顧客と消費者を区別して使うべきかも知れません。

たとえば、ある消費財メーカーの立場で考えてみましょう。

直接の顧客は大手スーパー、しかし消費者は個人のお客さんです。

このとき、顧客である大手スーパーに製品が販売できたときに売上が

あがったと単純に喜んでいいのでしょうか。

もし、流通経路の中に製品や商品が過剰に蓄えられたとしたら、

それだけメーカーと最終消費者の距離はひらきます。そのしっぺ返しは

将来必ずくるはずです。

メーカーだとしても、最終消費者の手に渡ったときに

真の売上があがったと考えるならば、メーカーの動きも変わってくるのでは

ないでしょうか。

そう考えると顧客と消費者を区別するのではなく、最終消費者を

真の顧客と考えるという方がいいかも知れません。
