社債発行に新顔続々　森ビル・永谷園など調達多様化

今年に入ってから11月17日までに社債を発行した企業は166社に上
り、既に昨年１年間を上回ったといいます。

大和ハウス工業や森ビルなど、それまで銀行借り入れに頼っていた
企業が初めて社債発行に踏み切っているようです。

昨日のブログでお話した通り、銀行が国際的な自己資本規制への対
応を迫られ、融資に対して慎重になることを心配しているようです。

銀行が自己資本比率を増加させるには大きく分けて3つの方法があ
ります。1）増資する、2）利益をあげる、3）資産を圧縮する。

3番目の資産を圧縮する方法として、新規融資を控えたり、保有有
価証券の売却などがあるのです。

話を元に戻します。社債発行など資金調達を多様化するのも大事で
すが、そもそも調達した資金の使途はなんでしょうか。

日経新聞によれば、ほとんどの企業が銀行借入の借り換えを行うと
のことです。もちろん、海外事業の展開、買収資金の積み上げを図
るためという企業もあります。

こんな時、自社株購入資金に充当するなんていう企業があってもい
いように思うんです。社債で調達し、株主資本を減少させる。デッ
トとエクイティの比率を調整して資本コストを下げるなんていうオ
ペレーションをやる企業が今後出てくることを期待します。
